1. About Law.AI

Law.AI is an independent educational revision platform designed to support students studying A-Level Law.

Law.AI is not affiliated with, endorsed by or operated by AQA, OCR, Eduqas/WJEC, Pearson Edexcel or any other awarding organisation unless expressly stated otherwise.

2. Educational Use

Law.AI provides educational content and revision tools.

Not legal advice: Content is provided for academic study and revision. Nothing on Law.AI constitutes legal advice, professional legal services or a legal opinion.

AI-assisted marking: Practice answers may receive AI-generated marks, Assessment Objective breakdowns and feedback. These results are formative revision estimates only. They:

• are not official exam marks;
• are not predicted grades;
• are not produced or endorsed by an examination board;
• do not guarantee the mark an examiner would award; and
• should be used alongside official specifications, mark schemes, teachers and other revision resources.

We aim to assess answers against relevant marking criteria, but AI systems can make mistakes.

3. Accuracy of Educational Content

We take reasonable steps to provide accurate and relevant educational information.

However:

• law, specifications and assessment materials may change;
• educational explanations may contain errors or become outdated; and
• AI-generated content may occasionally be inaccurate.

Where examination-board requirements are important, students should also consult the current official specification and assessment materials provided by their awarding organisation.

Nothing in these Terms limits any statutory rights you have under UK consumer law.

4. Accounts

Some features require a Law.AI account. When creating or using an account, you agree to:

• provide information that is reasonably accurate;
• keep your login credentials secure;
• not allow another person to use your account as their own;
• not sell, transfer or commercially share access to your account; and
• notify us if you reasonably believe your account has been compromised.

You are responsible for activity occurring through your account where that activity results from your failure to keep your credentials secure, subject to applicable law.

We may use third-party authentication providers such as Supabase and Google. Information about how account information is processed is available in our Privacy Policy.

5. Students Under 18

Law.AI is intended for A-Level students and some users may be under 18.

If you are under 18, you should only purchase a paid service where you are permitted to do so and have any parental or guardian involvement required in your circumstances.

Nothing in these Terms removes rights or protections that apply to children or young consumers under UK law.

6. Free and Paid Services

Law.AI may offer free functionality alongside paid plans. The features, duration and price of each paid plan will be displayed before purchase.

Paid offerings may include:

• recurring monthly subscriptions;
• recurring annual subscriptions; and
• one-off Lifetime Pass access (where offered).

The exact features included in each plan are those presented to you at the time of purchase. We may change the features available on future plans, but changes will not remove rights you already have under applicable consumer law.

7. Subscription Billing

Recurring subscriptions are processed through Stripe. Before purchasing, you will be shown:

• the price;
• applicable taxes where relevant;
• billing frequency;
• whether the subscription renews automatically; and
• how to cancel.

Monthly and annual subscriptions automatically renew until cancelled unless clearly stated otherwise when you purchase them. Your payment method will be charged according to the billing schedule shown to you when you purchase your subscription.

8. Cancelling a Subscription

You may cancel a recurring subscription at any time through the billing portal available from your account. Cancellation prevents future renewal charges.

Unless otherwise required by law or stated at the time of purchase, access to paid features normally continues until the end of the billing period already paid for.

We will not charge a cancellation fee for cancelling a normal recurring subscription. The cancellation process should remain reasonably straightforward and accessible.

9. Cooling-Off and Cancellation Rights

Consumers purchasing online may have statutory cancellation rights under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013.

A 14-day cancellation period can apply to distance contracts, but the position can differ where digital content or services begin during that period.

Where applicable, we will provide the legally required information and obtain any required consent or acknowledgement before beginning supply during the cancellation period.

Nothing in these Terms removes or restricts statutory cancellation or refund rights.

10. Refunds and Consumer Rights

Refund eligibility depends on the circumstances of the purchase and your statutory rights. Nothing in these Terms limits rights provided by legislation including the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

UK consumer law provides statutory protections relating to digital content and services, including requirements concerning satisfactory quality, conformity with description and reasonable care and skill where applicable.

If you believe you have been charged incorrectly or a paid service has not been provided as agreed, contact privacy@alevellaw.com.

11. Price Changes

We may change prices for future purchases. For an existing recurring subscription, we will provide appropriate notice before a price change takes effect where required.

A price change will not retrospectively alter an amount that you have already paid. If a subscription price is changing, users will be given information about the new price and their ability to cancel before becoming liable for it where required by applicable law.

12. Lifetime Access

A "Lifetime Pass" means access to the features identified as included in that plan for as long as Law.AI continues to operate and provide those features.

"Lifetime" does not mean the lifetime of the purchaser and does not guarantee that Law.AI will operate indefinitely.

Any Lifetime Pass remains subject to these Terms, including reasonable restrictions designed to prevent account sharing, fraud, abuse or misuse. Nothing in this section limits statutory consumer rights.

13. Acceptable Use

You must not use Law.AI to:

• gain unauthorised access to accounts, databases or infrastructure;
• bypass authentication, payment systems, access controls or rate limits;
• distribute malware or malicious code;
• deliberately interfere with the operation or security of the Platform;
• impersonate another person;
• use another student's account without permission;
• submit unlawful or abusive content;
• exploit the service in a manner that materially harms its availability for other users; or
• systematically extract protected content for unauthorised commercial redistribution.

Reasonable ordinary use of the Platform for personal revision is permitted.

14. Account Suspension and Termination

We may temporarily restrict or suspend an account where reasonably necessary to:

• investigate suspected fraud;
• protect platform security;
• stop serious misuse;
• prevent unauthorised account sharing;
• comply with a legal obligation; or
• address a serious or repeated breach of these Terms.

Where reasonably possible and appropriate, we will explain the reason for the restriction. We will not use this provision to remove statutory rights or unfairly deprive a consumer of services they have paid for.

15. Student Submissions

You retain ownership of original essays, answers, comments and other material that you submit to Law.AI.

You give us permission to process that content only to the extent reasonably necessary to:

• provide the requested service;
• save your work;
• generate requested feedback;
• operate relevant community functionality;
• maintain platform security; and
• comply with applicable law.

Our handling of personal information is explained in the Privacy Policy.

16. Community Content

Where Law.AI allows public feedback, comments, ratings or discussions, users must not publish:

• unlawful material;
• harassment or threats;
• another person's private information without permission;
• malicious links or malware;
• spam;
• intentionally deceptive content; or
• material that infringes another person's intellectual-property rights.

We may moderate or remove content where reasonably necessary to operate the community safely or comply with law.

17. Intellectual Property

The Law.AI software, interface, branding and original educational materials are owned by or licensed to the operator of Law.AI.

You may use Law.AI materials for your own personal educational and revision purposes. Unless permission or applicable law allows otherwise, you may not reproduce or commercially redistribute substantial parts of our original content.

References to legislation, court decisions, examination-board materials and other third-party resources do not transfer ownership of those materials to Law.AI. Third-party content remains subject to the rights, licences and legal protections applicable to its respective owner.

18. Exam Boards and Third-Party Names

Names, trademarks and materials belonging to examination boards and other organisations remain the property of their respective owners.

References to AQA, OCR, Eduqas/WJEC and Pearson Edexcel are used to help students identify relevant courses and specifications. Such references do not imply sponsorship, partnership or endorsement.

19. Availability and Changes to the Platform

We may update, maintain or modify Law.AI as the Platform develops.

Temporary interruptions may occur because of maintenance, security incidents, infrastructure problems, third-party service outages, or circumstances outside our reasonable control.

We will take reasonable steps to provide the service as described. Nothing in this section excludes obligations or remedies that apply under consumer law.

20. Liability

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful. In particular, nothing excludes liability for:

• death or personal injury caused by negligence;
• fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation; or
• statutory consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded.

Law.AI is intended as a revision aid. We are not responsible for examination results merely because a student used the Platform, where the Platform was supplied in accordance with these Terms and applicable law. We do not guarantee any particular grade, university admission or academic outcome.

21. Privacy

Our processing of personal information is governed by our Privacy Policy. The Privacy Policy explains matters including account information, revision activity, essay submissions, AI processing, payment providers, browser storage, data retention, and your data-protection rights.

22. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms where reasonably necessary, including because of changes to Law.AI, changes in law or regulation, security requirements, or introduction of new features.

Material changes affecting existing paid users will be communicated appropriately before taking effect where required. We will not use changes to these Terms to remove statutory rights retrospectively. The latest revision date will appear at the top of this page.

23. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, subject to any mandatory consumer protections that apply to you. If you live elsewhere in the United Kingdom, you retain any mandatory rights available to you under applicable law.

Nothing in these Terms prevents a consumer from bringing proceedings in a court that has jurisdiction under applicable consumer law.
